WeJam
Privacy Policy
Last updated October 29, 2026
The short version: we use your information to run WeJam and nothing else. We don't sell it, we don't show ads, and we only know your city, never your location.
What we collect
- Account: your email address (for sign-in links and session emails).
- Profile: name, handle, city, instruments and levels, genres, bio, links and photo, if you add them.
- Setlist: the songs you add, how well you know them, and what you import. Uploaded import files are deleted 30 days after you save.
- Sessions: the jams you enroll in, your choices there (instruments, songs you'd like to play, when you'd rather play, notes to the host), check-ins, and who you played which songs with.
- Connections: players you save, and whether you opt in to player matching.
- Usage: product analytics (which pages and features get used) and error reports, so we can fix and improve WeJam.
Who sees what
- Signed-in players in your city see your profile, and so do the people in a private jam you join.
- A private jam is seen only by people with its link. Its address shows only to the people who join.
- Your full setlist is visible only as far as your setting allows (private, people in your sessions, or your city), and to anyone you give your share link, if you make one. Stop sharing and the link stops working. Otherwise others see only the songs you have in common.
- When a host shares a jam's lineup ahead, each player sees their own sets (times, their instrument and the songs) and the songs of the night. Who plays with whom shows on the night, as each group is called up.
- Hosts see the enrollment details for their sessions.
Who processes it for us
Supabase (database, sign-in and file storage), Vercel (hosting), Resend (email), Inngest (background jobs), PostHog (analytics), Sentry (error reports), and Anthropic (reading imported lists and screenshots). They process data only to provide their service to us.
Emails
We send emails you need for sessions you join (confirmations, reminders, lineups, recaps). City announcements are optional, and every email has an unsubscribe link.
Keeping and deleting
Delete your account in Settings and we delete your personal data. Sessions you played stay in other players' history as “Former player”. For a copy of your data, or with any privacy question, email hello@wejam.net.
Age
WeJam is for people 18 and older (see the Terms). We don't knowingly collect data from anyone younger; if you think we have, email us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll show you the new version and ask you to accept it.
